Alright.
As many of you know, we have been severely lacking in confessions lately. Minimal activity from all of us is to blame, and I’m sure I can speak for them when I say that all of our lives are starting to get busier, even with it being summer and all. And if Kirvee’s and Richard’s text doc numbers are still accurate, and with our Inbox nearing 40, we’re falling behind more and more every day and we can only do so much.
What I’m asking is this: WILL YOU BE OUR NEW MODERATOR?
Inquire here so that we can keep it out of the MGC inbox so that confessions can come through without a problem. To anyone interested: here are the rules.
- One (1) confession will be sent to you. You will all get the same one.
- You must turn this text into a confession within 48 hours of receiving it, or you forfeit your application.
- A point system will be used for adjudication. 10 points for picture selection, 5 points for font selection, and 5 points for staging the confession on the picture.
- This confession must be at least as well done as the confessions on this site, if not better (and if you can make them look better, more power to you). The average score I would give the confessions we do is about a 15/20 if you want a benchmark.
- You must make it eye-catching. Anything overly flashy that detracts from the original confession will be disqualified.
- A watermark in either lower corner is optional, but not required. Watermarks will damage your staging score if they are in the way or too distracting. An out of the way MGC watermark that still advertises the blog well and doesn’t detract from the confession will earn you up to one (1) extra bonus point.
- WHEN YOUR CONFESSION IS COMPLETED, SUBMIT IT TO THE SAME PAGE WHERE YOU SUBMIT CONFESSIONS. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. Any mis-submissions will be notified once, and if it happens again, or the problem is not resolved, your submission will be disqualified.
- Your score will be sent to you as soon as it is adjudicated. No waiting until the end of the contest. However, should you not win, the winner’s score and confession will be sent to you, should you desire it.
- Ask box MUST be open if you submit a confession to be judged so we can send you your score and address any concerns, and if you win, to accept the moderator position. If not, or if you don’t accept the win after 24 hours, the winner will be the person with the next highest score.
The winner will be decided as an average of mine, Kirvee’s (if she’s available), and Richard’s (if he’s available), and Bri’s (if she’s available) scores.
The winner will receive full administrative rights to the blog and must be able to devote at least 5 confessions worth of time per week (I’m not going to ask for more than the bare minimum I can do). Entries to the contest will no longer be accepted after June 23rd at 11:59pm CDT. A winner will be declared once the time frame lapses and all entries have been adjudicated, and when all scores have been sent to the people who entered.
Last time I did this, I had two people enter and neither of them got back to me. Good luck!
Also, MGC reserves the right to change these rules at any time (because there may be something I’m forgetting) without notice, so check back to this post often.
WHAT ARE YOU ALL WAITING FOR?
